Forza Horizon 6 – Xbox

May 2026

I have tested Forza Horizon 6 on #XboxSeriesX and it's implemented the same way as on PC, except that the game gets peak brightness from Xbox's HDR system calibration and on PC you set it up in-game on a slider.

On Xbox you can access its HDR system settings directly via the game, but it doesn't work. You have to leave the game and close it fully for changes to take effect.

Forza Horizon 6 does not output the peak brightness you setup in Xbox's HDR system calibration for TVs capable of higher peak brightness than 800 nits👎

In my PC guide you can get guidance on how to setup peak brightness and paper white, for the peak brightness output you want from the game (Usually what your TV can do on a 2-10% window).

In the picture you can see how many clicks you need to use on the last two setup screens in Xbox's HDR system settings.

As an example. If you want 1500 nits peak brightness output from the game at 250 nits paper white, then you need to set 2500 nits (39 or 40 clicks) in Xbox's HDR system calibration.
