Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - RenoDX HDR mod (version 1)
by HDRgameAnalysis - RenoDX framework by ShortFuse

WHAT THE MOD DOES
- Fixes the raised black level: in HDR the game shows its darkest tones brighter than in
SDR. Gamma Correction 2.2 (default) gives deep blacks, as in the game's SDR.
  Highlights are not affected.
- Replaces the game's fixed HDR settings with sliders: the game takes its peak from the
Windows HDR Calibration app and uses a fixed 300-nit white for both the picture and the
menus. The mod adds Peak Brightness, Game Brightness (paper white, default 203) and
  UI Brightness (default 203).
- Bloom off by default: the game's bloom lays a veil of light over the whole picture and
lifts the shadows in daylight. The Bloom slider brings it back (50 = the game's own).
- Keeps the game's own look (Vanilla+): its tone mapping and colour grading are unchanged.
Colour grading sliders if you want to change it: Exposure, Highlights, Shadows,
Contrast, Saturation, Highlight Saturation and Flare.
- Tone Mapper Vanilla (or Preset Off) shows the game's own HDR, untouched, for comparison.

REQUIREMENTS
- ReShade 6.8.0 or newer with add-on support, installed for FlightSimulator2024.exe
  (DirectX 12).
- HDR on in Windows before you start the game. The game chooses HDR or SDR at startup.
- Tested on the Microsoft Store / Game Pass version (1.9.21.0). Game updates can change
the game's shaders and stop the mod from working until it is updated.

INSTALL
1. Copy renodx-msfs2024.addon64 into the game folder, next to FlightSimulator2024.exe and
ReShade's dxgi.dll (Microsoft Store / Game Pass: the game's Content folder).
Replace any earlier version if you have it.
2. In the game, press Home to open ReShade and set everything in the RenoDX tab.
Do not put other RenoDX add-ons (for example the RenoDX DevKit) in the same folder.
