HDR is basically broken compared to SDR.
In HDR the color grading the artists used a lot of time making is not used. It's only used in SDR.
There are many other issues that you can read about in picture 3. It's what the RenoDX HDR mod on PC fixes, so use that mod on PC as usual.
PC and PS5 should have all the same issues in HDR. There is no fix for PS5 gamers.
It looks so much better using the RenoDX HDR mod and we get many more adjustments, such as paper white.
I have not used Lilliums HDR analysis tool this time, because it causes crashes.
I'm just happy I haven't had a single crash yet, because I refunded the game some months ago, because it crashed all the time.
I have taken a few pictures where I try to show the difference between in-game HDR (picture 1) and RenoDX (picture 2).
Picture 3 has more color and contrast, and less lifted blacks/shadows. But my camera compensates somewhat, so it looks much more significant in person.
Now I will finally get to play this game 👍
